Developing Mastery
Leaders, Teams and Organizations
About Tom Bepler
My passion has always been to teach, train, and develop - with a commitment to exploring the leading edge of learning, high performance, and intentional and meaningful growth. I earned a degree in English Literature & Communication with a concentration in Teaching. My commitment was to teach inner city youth to read, think critically, and succeed in life. My love of nature and group dynamics soon led me to the outdoor classroom where I became a chief instructor with Outward Bound. Initially, I led 21- day wilderness programs; then with "Outward Bound Corporate", training executives on leadership skills and team dynamics in the uncompromising environments of deserts and high mountains.
Securing the necessary training, experience, and certifications, I transitioned back indoors to the boardrooms and conference rooms to become a sought after facilitator, consultant, and leadership trainer with various companies in diverse industries: Fortune 50, start-ups, non-profits, government, and education. In the last 15 years my passion and commitments have led me to focus on leadership development and executive coaching.
An internationally recognized mountaineer, I completed “first ascents” of big walls in Yosemite Valley, as well as the first ascent of "Mt. Thor" - a 4,000 foot rock and ice cliff on Baffin Island. I continue to enjoy skiing, hiking, climbing, and sitting by the camp fire with friends and family. My ongoing foundational practices include yoga, mindfulness meditation, and Aikido.
